  • environment fog + black pixels

Hello, I have a scene with env fog and a GI scatter bounces of 10 (guess that's the issue) in the final rendering I have black pixels in certain areas? why does this happens? we saw this already in older versions of Vray, we are using "V-Ray: V-Ray Next for Maya, update 2.1 version 4.30.01". The scene is lit with several lights and an HDR dome.

update: locally it looks fine, I rendered the image in deadline with tile rendering and a per-calculated light cache

    does somebody has an idea?

    cheers florian

For starters, try updating to the latest V-Ray for Maya build. If that doesn't help, send the scene (along with the pre-calculated LC) to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look. Mention this thread in the e-mail along with the current V-Ray and host platform versions.

Did anyone find any solutions for this. Im having the same problem with an animation render where the there are a black pixel or two in every 20 frames. Its only on the HDRI and i have no fog in the scene. I have Vrayperspective on, but its the same with it off.
