  • Proxies, renderlayers and selection order

    Hi,

so proxies still dont seem to work as expected with renderlayers,..I cant remember if this has been submitted as a bug already.

I've attached a scene. When you open it, you will see the renderlayer turned off but the proxies are still visible. If you 'duplicate special' as an instance..then they disappear. Same needs to be done to get them to reappear.

Also in the scene is a default sphere primitive. If you move the camera so that the sphere is in front of the proxy and try to select the sphere..you will see that it instead selects the proxy, which gets a bit annoying. Is this changeable in the selection priority prefs or is it a bug?

    Cheers

    Hello francomanko,

I had further look into the two problems you have mentioned above and managed to reproduce both.
I have logged two issues into our system for our developers to have a look at them too.
Those are the internal bug tracker ID's: (VMAYA-10312 and VMAYA-10313)

    Kind Regards,
    Dimitrina

this display layer issue isnt just related to proxys, its a problem with geo when they are grouped also.

so ive added another scene and video, this with 3 cubes, 2 of which are in a group that have display layer assigned. Turning off visibility has no effect in VFB unless you move the group or duplicate or something.

            Hello again,

Fortunately we already know about the problem with IPR not updating properly with groped objects and display layers.
This is the internal tracker ID: VMAYA-9710

            Kind Regards,
