  • Bug vrscene Maya

Hi, we think is a bug, perhaps we are wrong.

You can replicate it easily. Just import one vrscene to Maya, and animate position by simply press "s" in frame 1 and move the vrscene proxy you imported to another positoin on frame for example 10 and press "s" again.

Now no matter if you put the vrscene on a layer or not it always be rendered. We work with 3d people as vrscene, and we try to move them just a little bit to get motion blur for the 3d people. We work with lots of layers but if we do so, even the each 3d people is in different layers they are all rendered.

This is the reason we find out this issue. Hope is easy to fix this bug, as for our workflow is a must.

    Thank you.

I don't understand what's the actual issue. The .vrscene is always rendered regardless if the layer is disabled? The motion blur is missing? Tested both and they seem to work fine.

      It´s easy.

If you import any vrscene to Maya, you can add it to any layer. If you disable this layer, all the objects that are memeber of this layer doesnt appear either in viewport and in the final render.

The issue comes out, when you animate the vrscene, just its position (guess should happen the same with rotation or scale but havent try it).
After that, no matter if the vrscene is memeber or not of any layer, it will render always. On Maya viewport it doesnt appear if the layer is disable, but then when you hit render, "voila" the animated vrscene appears always in the render.
      Motion blur works fine.

I still cannot reproduce it; testing with the latest official V-Ray for Maya build (V-Ray 5, update 2). Which V-Ray version do you have installed? Do attach a simple scene where the issue is present so we can take a look; a video reproduction will be helpful as well.
