Hello,
I'm using V-Ray 5 (v5.20.02) and I'm having an issue where I'm trying to use a flat poly plane as a light blocker, but I'm noticing that even if I make the shader 100% transparent on the light blocker plane, it still dims down the specular highlight on the object next to it. I've tried using different shaders (VRay Mtl, VRay Light Mtl, as well as just a lambert) but they all produce the same result. The object that the light blocker is affecting is a VRay proxy, so i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I feel like it shouldn't. In my mind, a 100% transparent object shouldn't be affecting any rays. Let me know what you think.
Best,
Patrick
