I am having some issues with the V-Ray Displacement on one of the meshes in my scene. This mesh is a label that has some thickness which intersects with another mesh (a bottle). The label mesh is a rectangular shape which has a VRay Blend material attached to it, with the base layer of this material being the label texture and colour, which also has an opacity map, used to cut out the rectangular mesh for the actual shape of the label. As shown in the image, the rectangular shape of the label is still somewhat visible with this opacity map being used.
I cannot even begin to list the amount of troubleshooting I have tried to fix this, but so far I've tried:
Disabling cast shadows on the label mesh
Checking the image texture for the opacity map has pure 100% black value in the areas of the mesh I want to be cut out
Enabling alpha is luminace on all roughness, alpha, opacity, etc maps
Enabling/disabling Wrap U & V in the texture map nodes for all textures related to the label mesh
Enabling/disabling/tweaking all of the values and different types of displacement within the displacement node (different displacement types, amount, edge length, subdivs, continuity, displacement bounds, etc)
Checking render settings for all of the possible attributes related to displacement
I am honestly at a loss as to what could be the issue but would appreciate any help on this.
