  • Light leaks

Once again, we have problems with light leaks. As you can see on the attached image, we get those leaks randomly where two walls meet. The leaks appear in a random manner during the animation.

We use BF and LC for this scene. Settings are BF (16/3), LC (16/2000/0.02/Single frame). Prefiltering for the LC is disabled, because we get the impression that this leads to those pulsating effects when rendering an animation (lights condition do change during animation). But perhaps thats wrong...?

    Thanks again,
    Lars

What does the light cache look like?

Need some help: What do you mean by how the LC looks like? In the VFB during the LC calculation?

Prefiltering the LC with a value of 1000 seems to help quite a lot. Just rendering a test sequence at the moment.

I meant that you can choose the light cache as a primary GI engine too and in that case you will see what the light cache looks like.

1000 prefiltering is a bit too much - it will wipe out all GI details.
