        C'mon guys, details please....

How long does it take to cleanup for medium sized polygon count?

How big of a render (image size) have you tried?

I just made a very few tests, nothing special and just very simple geo. And i wasn't able to get rid of all noise, but thats most likely my own fault. Just tested some objects with vrmats, blurry refls, vrlights and a light dome. And even if it's not the way to render final images for animation (by now), the instant feedback you get (with my q6600) when i.e. rotating the lightdome, changing light intensities or material properties is amazing. Fantastic for lighting scenes fast and getting the right mood. The rotation is only working for the dome light, though, not for the "override environment" stuff.

And thanks again for implementing all those features, killing all that bugs and taking care of user suggestions and whishes. There are lots of improvements. Great work already!

One question though. Is the RT not included in the OSX build?

I can confirm that the RTEngine is not in the OS X builds. At least not in the 2008 or the 2011 versions...

I couldn't actually get it to work properly in 2011 (x64) in Windows 7 either, but that's probably more of an incompetence thing on my part :P
It didn't give me the error (ERROR: Could not create plugin RTEngine) that OS X did, but just kept crashing after IPR ran for a little while.

We've got to remember that this is in development though

Well on a windows box, vray.exe is present when V-Ray RT is running.

                  Hi Vlado,
Is the beta testing of RT is officially started? How long will it run? Where should we put our feedback/bugs?
Can we expect changes on every nightly build?

                  Thanks.

The official beta has not started yet; there are some things we need to complete before that (like adding UI for the various controls and so on).

                    Best regards,
                    Vlado

Ok, but, now we're talking about Nightly Builds and VrayRt for Maya Beta...

Is the VrayRt beta the reason because there isn't existence of Vray for Maya Linux 64 version in the Nightly Builds?

Here is a picture for all who cannot use Rt so far. It is a complete car interior with a lot of blurred reflections etc.

It is working quite nice so far, sometimes it crashes but for a first version it rocks!

Just let me know when the real beta is avaiable so that I can start doing some serios tests with it.

                        Thanks Paul

Man...this stuff rocks dude! I played with it a little last night when I got home. As soon the GPU version comes out, I'm building a dual Fermi box!

Can't wait till it goes into real beta mode (and for the OS X version). my newly ordered Mac Pro with 2x2.6 quad westmere's will love it, i'm sure >)
