I know these builds are experimental and are always WIP. But just a warning to the devs that something in the newer V-Ray builds (specifically latest one) seem to be permanently corrupting Maya 2011 scenes.
What happens is that as soon as you open the scene Maya will crash before you can do anything to rescue it. However reverting back to a build in October, opening the same scene it seems to be fine.
This also happens on a number of scenes not just the one. I'm not sure what V-Ray parameter/shader/object is causing it, but I have a feeling it could be related to the new proxy cache parameter.
I think this because I reverted back to an October build, opened the problem scene and deleted all shaders in the scene. Then I installed the Nov 10th build. Open the scene and it was fine!
So it could possibly be related to shaders and or the proxy "cache" option.
Cheers.
