  • When V-Ray is loaded unable to archive scene

    Hi,

With the later builds of V-Ray and Maya 2011 x64 Hotfix 3. The Archive Scene does not function.

Something seems to be going on because as soon as I save any scene (even a basic new one), Maya will will want to save again because it is instantly modified.

When I unload V-Ray, Maya will function properly again, so I think it is V-Ray causing this.

    Steps:
    1) Load V-Ray
    2) Draw a cube or seomthing
    3) Save scene
    4) Straight away Maya will want to save again (with the little asterix in the window title)
    5) Archive the scene and Maya will say:

// Error: line 1: Scene modified since it was last saved, you must save your scene before archiving it. //

I cannot find what it is being modified unfortuantely.

Yeah I was having the same issue when trying to archive a scene last week.

I was wondering what the issue was.

    Cheers

Thanks for the pointer; it is because of the vraySetSceneName call after the scene is saved. Will fix it.

      Best regards,
      Vlado

Thank you Vlado (and the V-Ray for Maya devs) seems to be fixed in the latest nightly! Amazing turnaround time.
