    Hi,

    When I am doing an "Import V-Ray material from file" on an vrscene exported from Max the created shaders all have brdf as name and a following number instead of the material name that was defined in the vrscene.

    This makes it difficult to assign the right shaders to the objects without the correct name.

    Yep, the exporter from 3ds Max does not preserve the names. I'll make a note to look into it...

      Do you think there will be a solution soon?
      Where is the problem located? In the export script? Then I will have a look myself.

        Yep, the issue is in the export script - it is called vrsceneexport.ms and goes into the [3ds Max root]/scripts/startup folder.

          Hi,

          Is there any chance to get a fixed version of this script in the near future? I tried to modify it myself, but without any luck.
          I have to convert a really big max scene next time and this would help a lot.
