  • 'Bucketholes' when rendering Maya Hair

    I've encountered several cases of empty buckets or holes in rendered paintfx hairs with applied vray materials.

    What I've done is painted follicles as nurbs & pFX hairs,
    then converted pFX > Polys with mesh output activated.

    Then Applied VRay Mat to to the outputmesh

    Any clues?

    edit: Oh, and I'm not rendering on a farm. This is rendering locally on my workstation. So its not nodes not updating correctly

    What are your AA settings? Make sure you are using the Adaptive DMC image sampler instead of the "Adaptive subdivision" one.

      I was using adaptive dmc. AA at about 2 and it happens at different resolutions and always at the same places
