This is in Maya2011 SP1, VRay for maya 2.00.04 stable build 15820 (june 21th 2011), Windows 7 64 bit.
VRayFur works really well, but we see a bug when we do this :
Create a sphere, attach VRayFur to it (reduce the thickness, increase the "Per Face" attribute to 100).
Select the VRayFurPreview1 , switch the Primary Visibility to OFF.
Render, you should only see the sphere.
But in fact you get a sphere with stange artifacts (see picture below).
Everything is default value, there isn't even a VRayMtl (but adding it don't fixes the problem).
I use DMC sampler.
Of course our problem is in a real production scene (with settings set to high quality), but it is also visible in this simple sphere scene.
