  • Linear/quadratic decay on maya lights???

    Is there going to be some support for this in the near future? fake decay settings work in max, so would it be hard to have the option?

    I know it's a physically based renderer and is scale dependent, but surely there must be a better way of controlling light decay over an area than changing the scale.

      Whoops, I meant for maya areaLights, point/spotlight decay work fine, as you said.

        Ah ok. Will make a note to look into it. In any case, the V-Ray rectangle light has an option to turn off the inverse square decay.

          EDIT: nevermind, still doesn't work.

          Yeah turning off inverse square is better, but not enough haha.
