  • non-renderable geo effecting AO pass

I've set up these scenes that have massive amounts of geometry with vray proxy nodes with LOD turned off parented to low-rez poly's with all primary visibility, reflection, refraction, etc. turned off in the attribute spreadsheet. Vray proxy geo is doesn't snow in viewport and lo-rez geo doesn't show in renders...except AO.

The lo-rez geo doesn't render, but is calculated in the AO proximity shading.

Suggestions beyond a pre-render script that hides all lo-rez geo?

    Thank you,

You might try turning on the "work with transparency" option in VRayDirt.

    Best regards,

Thank you. I'll give that a shot and post the findings.
