Hi there,
We've been running into some problems with alpha/matte problems when using maya surface shaders on the latest nightlies.
Pictures should explain it really. There's a plane with a tiff attached with an alpha, the alpha is plugged into the transparency and the matte opacity channel of a surface shader.
Maya

Stable (2.00.04) Renders as expected

Nightly (2.15.01-2011-11-29) Broken Opacity/alpha
