@ t.petrov: by crease do you mean an edgeloop close to another which then makes the edge tighter in smoothing?
@ vlado: yep, merging the verts would work, however I sometimes mirror the geometry for preview purposes (to do a quick render to check reflections etc,) when I work symetrically. I mostly have pretty complex geometry, and would prefer to save the time welding verts all the time when I do a prevew render, and then undo all again. Id rather do it at the end.
I guess this is the only way to do it then?

You can add one from the menu at: "Subdiv Surfaces->Full Crease Edge/Vertex" or "Subdiv Surfaces->Partical Crease Edge/Vertex".V-Ray developer
