  • VRayFastSSS2 + Maya Spot light = wrong ?

    Hi,
I have a problem with the material VRayFastSSS2 and Maya Spot light.

    1) Create a sphere
    2) Create a spot light : intensity 15, decay rate linear, cone angle 40, raytrace shadows ON.
    3) Add VRayFastSSS2 on your sphere, preset "marble (white)", simple scatter to raytraced (solid).

    Render :

Now, connect a "checker" into the diffuse and sub surface color of the VRayFastSSS2.
    Render :

What is wrong with the spot light ?
Why, when i add a texture, i have this ? Without texture, it works.

Same render, but with a VrayLightRect (not the spot light) :

    Hi bigbossfr,

Actually, the same thing happens with the VRay lights and the Maya standard lights (not only the spot one). If you increase the intensity of the VRay light in your scene from 100 to 1000, you'll start seeng the scatter color that is defined in the SSS2 mtl.
