  • VRay ignores subdiv :-(

    Hi!

Is it possible for VRay fur that it grows on a poly object which has rendertime subdivision enabled?

Right now I have floating fur (Smoothing the poly object is possible... but the basemesh has roughly 20 mio polys...)

    Thanks in advance.

You will have to apply Maya subdivisions to the mesh. For the moment, the subdivision is generated at render time when a ray hits the surface and it is not available to VRayFur when the fur is generated.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Will do. 1200 single threads each with roughly 2500 poly´s Maya will hate me for this, hehe.
