  • getting bad exports from V-ray for maya. Will not render Standalone please help!

I have enabled the export and disabled rendering in the translator tab.

"there really should just be an export Button right here"

hit render current frame. everything exports.

I execute my render command, it goes thru its thing gets down to reading my file and I see.

    3Dm-Defiant:~ jbarnette$ /Applications/Autodesk/maya2014/vray/bin/vray -sceneFile=/Volumes/Projects/MyProject/scenes/LNG_Port_ENV_Animation_Camera_02_no_Ship.vrscene -frames=1-4,1

Please advise I'm really behind here.

    UPDATE:

Ok if I don't do export separate files for all of the lighting and everything and have it export just one file for the whole scene. It seems to render.

Ok, but still can you show me line 991 from the scene file that gives the error? It sounds like a bug that we should fix.

    Best regards,

how do I do that just open in a text editor? do I have to turn compression off?

It's a text file so yes you can open in any editor. No need to turn compression off.

              Hi, 3DMotif,

We were unable to reproduce the issue with a similar scene: includes for geometry, textures etc., followed by comments and empty renderviews.
Can you provide us with a scene for further investigation?

              Regards
