  • Smooth UV boundary problems

    Hi.

I hope this haven't been posted before, but here it goes. The problem is that when I subdivide a model the UV borders gets distorted.

This can be fixed by adjusting the OpenSubdiv Controls, but that only translates to the viewport and to Mental Ray.

I also tried to add VRay Subdivision Attributes and play around with the settings there, but nothing helps.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Which V-Ray version is this? Issues like these were fixed a long time ago in the 2.x nightly builds, and V-Ray 3.x also has support for OpenSubdiv.

    Best regards,

      Hi.

      Thanks for replying so quickly.

I am using V-Ray for Maya version 2.40.02, which is the latest version I can download. I hope Vray 3 comes to Maya soon, since it's only a beta now.

You can email us to support@chaosgroup.com and ask for the 2.x nightly builds and see if they help.

          To quote Futurama:

          Fry: When will that be?
          Glurmo: Soon enough.
          Fry: That's not soon enough!
