Hi,
I have one question which I can't find answered in any forum:
-> Does Maya/Vray/Linux utilize complete CPU if you have something like 72 Threads CPUs (e.g 2x xeon 2699v3)?
Does it have the same issue as windows? I am planning to get the 2699v3 (32core machine) and worry it might not use all cpu power in single render sessions.
I have read at many different places already about the problem with windows and the 64 threads utilization limit. Vlad was posting at many places about it as well and he mentions a workaround with DR slave sessions to utilize the cores above the 64 threads. But I couldn't find if Linux is the solution for Maya+Vray.
thanks
Peter
