  • BerconTileTex Tile Mapping problem

    Hi,

I have a problem with tile mapping and the BerconTileTex in Maya. The way the tiling works in Max is by using the UV channel of the color map. Now Maya doesn't have UV channels, just UV sets. Still in the BerconTileTex node there is only an option to use Tile UV Channel for Tile Mapping which doesn't work.
Is there any way to make the tiling work in Maya?

Can you post an example? I'm not sure I understand the problem.

    Best regards,

      Hi Vlado,

I took a screenshot which hopefully clarifies the problem. The image of the jellyfish should be tiled but it is not. In MAX this is done by chooseing the same UV Channel as the Texture node but in Maya there are no UV Channels.

      Best regards,

Have you tried to adjust the RepeatUV attribute in the place2dTexture2 node?
I've tried it with a checker and it works just fine.

            Create > V-Ray > Create from V-Ray Plugin > Texture

then select anything from the ui

would be too cool if this would work in Maya as well. In any other software its standard but not in Maya

The V-Ray plugins for rendering the bercon maps have been there all along.
