  • VRay 3.40 - Uninverted Normal Bump not working with DR

    Hello lads! This is my first post in these forums.

    I'm having trouble with VRay's "Uninverted normal bump" override not working with Distributed rendering. It does uninvert the normals when rendering locally either on workstation or slaves, if I choose to render on slaves including the local pc it causes buckets with mixed normals ( note the right side on the attached image ), if DR only - the normals stay inverted.

    VRay version on all machines is the same, the workstation is Windows based while RN's are Centos 7. Hope someone has ideas what might be causing this.

    I can confirm that this option doesn't work in DR, so I've logged this as a bug.
    I'll update the thread once we have an estimate about a fix.

      Thanks, Alex! Will be looking forward to an update. As many in-game assets come with shared mirrored normals, having this option working would be a life saver.

        This is now in the nightly builds from today and will make it to the next service pack.
