  • Maya RT / Layered Texture : Alpha is Luminance

    Hi,

I noticed that with CUDA RT render the 'alpha is luminance' setting doesnt seem to work.

    Please see attached scene.

I have a checker texture connected to a layered texture. The alpha channel is connected to VrayMtl RGB nodes and its 'alpha is luminance' setting ticked.

In the scene I have the 'checker texture' alpha connected to RED channel and the "Layered texture' alpha connected to the G and B channels. The 'alpha is luminance' is accepted from the checker texture but not layered texture.

OK, we got it, but you'll have to wait until the 8th of November for fixed nightlies.

If you can't wait that much, let us know, we may be able to build custom nightlies for you.

      Cheers!

Sorry for the late reply, but this has been fixed now. The fix is in the nightly builds and it's also going to be included in the next official release.
