Hi,
I just noticed that Vray proxy files on the server are locked once a Maya file that loads them is open. This is not the case with other files that are loaded by a Maya scene (textures, vrscenes, referenced Maya files).
If a Maya File with proxies is open, the proxy files can not be overwritten on disc.
If a user tries to overwrite a proxy that is locked, it failes without error message.
This makes the whole Vray proxy workflow more tedious since people need to close scenes if a proxy needs to be updated.
I am not sure if this is caused by Vray or Maya but since other files are not locked my bet is on Vray.
Cheers, Florian
