  • IPR v Progressive difference in reflection

    ^ IPR version

    ^ Progressive version

Is there a reason for why this could occure? Just using a standar VRayMtl with a reflection fresnel of 1.6

Is this IPR CPU or GPU? It might be the GI - the IPR only supports BF+BF, while the progressive supports any combination of all available GI modes.

      Ah, will test on Monday.

      It's the IPR CPU.

Main render is BF + LC, so that might explain why it's different. Thanks Alex.

are you referring to the angled reflection in the window? It might be a difference in reflection/refraction bounce depth. If I'm not mistaken, the bounce depth in the IPR tab will stop at 5 (default), if your material has greater than 5 those extra bounces won't show up in IPR unless you raise that in the settings. Although, the standard material defaults to 5 as well... so unless you've changed that this isn't the issue.
