  • velocity channel in vrscene

    Hi there,
I was wondering if Vray supports deformation blur defined on the vrscene level. At them moment I'm working with positions, normals and map_channels. Is it possible to add velocity as well? What keyword should I use?

    Thank you,
    kuba

The GeomMeshPlugin has a parameter called "velocities", which is a list of Vector's with the object vertex velocities, in scene units per frame.

Alternatively, you can use interpolate() statements for the positions and specify different values at different frames - this will enable V-Ray to do deformation blur as well.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hey Vlado,
Thanks for quick reply I'll give it a shot.

Btw. It's easier to get hold of you on the forum then on Siggraph. Tried a few times with no luck

Yes, when I was not in meetings, I went to see the talks and papers sessions; it's the first Siggraph that I've not been rooted at the booth and it is a nice change

        Best regards,
        Vlado
