it is not possible to utilize the rendered margin in After Effects.
The EXR images open with full margin visible in Photoshop and it can be utilized in Nuke, too, but in order to use it in After Effects, it would need to be rendered out as a real full-size image.
It would be great to give that option or to enable it by default.
I mean, someone who consciously enables extra margin will have good reasons to want it being visible and so there is no reason to hide it outside the basic image borders, so that After Effects can't use it.
