  • Double Sided Displacement

    Hey Guys,

in renderman there is a feature which is called "double shade" and it is extremely usefull when u displace stuff on a plane and u want to get a solid object...this options "mirros" the displacement on the object....one can then use a opacity map to cut off the non-displaced part of the plane.

Is it possible to implement such a feature?

If i wasn't clear enough i can post images later!

    thx

Can you not do it if you just duplicate the geometry with inversed normals?
