  • Option to include camera information in the .exr format

    Hello,

Currently the only way to get the camera information inside the .exr is to render using multichannel exr's. But as most people know, that is extremely slow to comp with in nuke, and you have to re-render them to be able to use them. Having camera information inside them though is extremely helpful in nuke. So my idea was that if you added a checkbox inside the "image format options" for the normal exr's to add camera information that would be great!

    Thanks,
    Johan

Actually the camera info is added to both single- and multi-channel EXR files even now.

Is this only in the latest build? We're running the SP1 release. I checked the meta data in nuke and there was no camera information, only in the multi channel EXR.

Could be in the latest ones, I'm not sure it was in SP1 - I have to check.

Will there be a camera embed data option in Vray 2.0 for 3DS Max? Could be very useful!

Yes, but only when writing tiled OpenEXR files from the V-Ray frame buffer options.
