  • manually update swatches overrides disabled render swatches

I don't want all shaders to constantly update but it would be nice if I could hit Update in the Mtl attribute editor and have that one update. It currently doesn't work if you have Render Swatches disabled

Hm, I thought Maya had an option for manual update of the swatches regardless of the renderer? Or was that 3ds Max... I'm almost sure I've seen this in Maya as well.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hi BEIGE,

This feature is supported for VRay nodes (VRayMtl, VRayBlendMtl, etc) and it seems to work with on my machine.

If I click the update button with the 2.0 beta, nothing happens. The swatch is still greyed out.

          Hi,
          Is this still broken?
It seems to work fine, even on OSX with VRay 2.0 "final' and Maya 2012 64bit.
Can you give me a scene or/and detailed steps to reproduce it?

What is your OS and Maya version?

          Sorry for the delay
