  • Get shadow elements per light

    Hi.

Can you get shadow elements per light using LightSelect elements?
Of course, it is OK to only direct shadow without GI.

    Hi,
    You can not.
You want "shadow select", but this renderElement does not exist.

But i hope we will have a "contribution map" system, to separate what we want (object, shd,...).

Actually we have already added a "shadow" and "matte shadow" mode for the light select element in our internal builds, but it's not in the nightly builds yet. I hope it will get there soon.

      Best regards,

        Cool thanks!
I wait to get a new build added a "shadow" and "matte shadow" mode for the light select element.

          Hi,

I cannot found vray 3.0 beta.

Once more, I watched FXM 2014 video.
I heard that vray 3.0 can get lighting pass added GI per light for light select elements.
          Is it true?
Is this function include a current vray 3.0 beta?

Yes, but only in RT GPU mode.
Probably we can port it to BF/BF GI setups for the production renderer, but we've not tried it yet.

Having this feature for production renderer would be fantastic, even only for BF+BF or BF+OFF.
              always curious...

                Thanks to reply!

To have limit in comparison with Cpu and Gpu memory limit for current hardware, I glad to have this feature for production renderer too.
