  • vrmesh proxy animate current frame

    Hi,

What would be superhandy is if we could plug an animation curve into the vrmesh (currentframe?) that would tell the vrmesh which frame from the .vrmesh sequence to display at a certain frame in the timeline.
We would use this mostly for offsetting, reversing and holding a frame.
If this is already possible please let me know!
    thnx..

this is more or less the same as what i've requested here: http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbu...sh-hold-frames
(I forgot I posted this, but hey, it was friday afternoon during beer time

    Hi,

The comment from Vlado is still true. This feature is a bit hard to implement, because of the Motion Blur support in the VRMeshes.
We're thinking what could be done, but it won't be implement any time soon.

Can I ask why do you need this feature?

I needed it because I needed to freeze a realflow simulation for a couple of frames, and then continue with the simulation.
i did this on the realflow bin files by connecting a custom attribute 'frame' into the current frame of the realflow mesh source.
but yeah the reason for using vrmeshes was motion blur..
but again, it's not a showstopper
      thanks anyway!
