Hey,
So we have been taking a quick look at vrmats and I have some feature requests
* Ability to set render layer override on the "Material file" and "Material list" attributes of VrayVRmatMtl
* Ability to export a Maya shader tree with Maya-native nodes such as gamma, remapHSV, rgbToHSV, ramp, blendcolor, layered texture, place2dtexture, multiplydivide, samplerinfo... into a working vrmat - or get to know which nodes should be used in the Maya node tree instead, when building shaders in Maya.
* A nodal editor (good for complex networks)
Would these things be at all possible?
I think that if these things got implemented -- we would start making our materials directly in the vrmat editor instead for certain projects, but we would need the backwards compability of opening up existing Maya shader networks and bringing those into the vrmat editor too.
Cheers!
