that is good but it is easily achivable with ramp tex and a smapler info node the important bit is the bezier control... cant wait for that one.... also with ability to split it in RGB channel like max....

iv got a feeling we are actually waiting for Phenox guys to do this. look like they build a new interface besier controll for the Volume Grid and i guess that what we going to get.

i hope it make it to V-ray nuke as well

                Hey,

As far as we're concerned, the thing is ready to plant in V-Ray. We are going to do usability improvements and minor fixes, but it's ready to be integrated. V-Ray for Nuke is also using the curves ATM.

                Cheers!

It's in our to-do list for the next major version.

I bet you are sick of this

But when you mention bezier curves was on the to do list, is this still the case and if so which major version?

Unfortunately, we won't be able to do this for 3.5.

Not sure if this curve control is available in Phoenix Maya 3.0. But if yes, would be really great to have this curve control for next V-Ray for Maya update (hopefully 3.6?).

It is in Phoenix 3 for Maya, the screenshot is from the 2.2 nightlies actually. Will see when there will be enough time left to sneak it in the Volume Grid for Maya as well

                              Cheers!

Thanks for the heads-up, Svetlin. Will this curve control feature also be available for general purpose in menu of other nodes? I guess some of us are eager to see this type of fine control available for editing reflection falloff in VrayMtl or VrayAlSurface etc...
