    Sorry, can't really say about anything other than Phoenix/VolumeGrid - the V-Ray guys should be able to tell better.

      No worries. So, can Vlaod or any Vray devs chime in on this? As this curve control is already available in Phoenix for Maya 3, would it be possible to make it available for general Maya utilities nodes?

        You can actually use the Maya animation curves to drive the falloff as well - they might be a bit more practical. I'm not sure if/when we will get to implementing the Phoenix curves.

          Vlado, do you have a pointer or link on how to achieve this in Maya? It seems like a more practical approach for finer controls out of box.

          EDIT: I think I found the approach in earlier posts of this thread. I am setting it up to test out.

            Again sorry for bringing this up again..but would it be possible to use mayas 'falloff curve' code (found in the sculpt tools)...would that be any easier to implement into your falloff node?
