  • VRaySwitchMtl with more than 10 slots

In our projects we often need to render objects with a lot of different materials. Apparently there is no way of increasing the number of Materials in a VRaySwitchMaterial (that I know of).
Stacking VraySwitchMaterials inside a VraySwitchMaterial does allow to use more than 10 Materials, but it is very cumbersome to handle.

Internally V-Ray has no restrictions on the number of materials, it's just a UI thing for the moment; we will discuss what are possible ways around this limitation. Ideally some dynamic setting for the number of materials would be best.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hi Vlado,

any news on that topic? We would appreciate it a lot to have this functionality.

      Thanks

There's no progress on this yet, I'm afraid. I've put a note to update this thread once there's any news.
