  • UV Coordinates Render Element problem

I have some geometry set up with multiple UVs and if I render with Modo the UV Coordinates render okay.

When I switch to V-Ray they all come out black.

I'm placing a Constant node (0,0,0) above the materials set to Add with the correct UV selected.
Other elements - World Coordinates, Shading Incidence, Geometric Normal, etc. - all seem to be working fine.

If I copy/paste polys & uvs from my geometry into some primitive like a teapot they will now render correctly in V-Ray.
But those same polys with their original UV always render black.

    It's happening in both Modo 11 & 12 with V-Ray 3.60.01.

I'll put some example images together to help make this more clear, but is there something obvious I'm missing?

As a follow up to this, it seems that V-Ray doesn't like multiple UV sets...? Kind of disappointing since the model I'm working with has many UV sets.

When I copy/paste my uvs into a single set (the default "Texture" uv) then it works.

        Hey,

        Thank you for the post.

I have some geometry set up with multiple UVs and if I render with Modo the UV Coordinates render okay.
How did you do that? I've tried but Modo does not render this RE UV Coordinates.

Anyway, in V-Ray seems this working only if the UV texture name is "Texture" if you use unique texture name render is black similar to Modo.

        Cheers,
