Hello, why am i seeing wooden texture in Surface ID render element? I thought it is always flat colour areas.

Hey, dmiko,
Thank you for the feedback, Yes, it is. The Surface ID used flat color, but you have had overlapping geometry. Clean your mesh and render it once. Btw, you can use and V-Ray render outputs such as Render ID || Material ID || Object ID, the last two I strongly recommend you.

That's really strange, I will need a scene to look at.
I am not sure overlapping geometry can cause this.

Howdy, dmiko,
Can you check the result for Surface ID with Modo default render?
I can reproduce only when into the scene I had overlapping geometry: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1cL...MfblcVJTUZFB2x but this is not an issue with V-Ray at all.
