  • Crash using shader Opacity with RT active

Modo crashes when using the opacity spinner for a shader object. Like this:

Apologies the screen capture is so fast - if it's not clear, the crash occurs when I try to drag the opacity control, below.

    Cheers - Chris

I can reproduce this. Thank you for finding it.

It seems to actually happen on all shader tree changes that cause V-Ray for MODO to re-export the material
(as opposed to re-exporting only the value of a channel to a V-Ray parameter). This includes a lot of MODO's
advanced material channels (reflection/specular amount, transparency amount, etc.). This is because these
channels affect the internal material network that will be exported (for performance reasons).

This bug is present on Windows too. But the memory protection on Mac OS X / Linux makes it more apparent.

I will write back here when I fix it.
