Are vray materials for 3ds max different then materials for revit?

I downloaded some vray materials files that are named as "3ds max material library file". And when I open the asset manager in my revit project and try to import this custom materials folder, nothing shows up.

Could you please share what is the file extension of the downloaded materials?
In V-Ray Asset Editor we are loading .vrmat files.

Have you seen the V-Ray materials within Chaos Cosmos? If not, pay attention to them, the variety is great and it is constantly improving.

These are all materials downloaded from www.vray-materials.de and they are .mat format
