  • V-ray for Revit first render - problem

    Hi everyone,

I'm new v-ray for Revit. I made a preliminary renderings. My question is how and where to set the background in rendering such was white. I'm not talking here about switching bitmap HDRI background. Attached render.
Second question. I did in Revicie rendering a night under artificial light. In Revicie it was OK. After running the test for V-Ray the same scene, the same light, the same view. Unfortunately, rendering the lack of lights - if he did not shine. Where is the mistake?

    Hi Marek_K,

You can read how to set a white background here: http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...ite-Background
Regarding the lights - change the Exposure Value (EV) to a lower value and render again. Make sure the paths to IES files are correct. Make sure that light sources are placed out of lighting fixtures geometry.

And a question -> are you using Revit in English or in another language?

Polish language version. Package Building Design siute 2017. After installing BDS, I installed the Polish language version downloaded from the Autodesk for subscribers. It may not work for artificial lighting packages with pads language ?.

There is a bug related to non-English language packs in Revit. Currently our developers are working on solving it. As soon as we have a fix we will announce it.

There is a temporary workaround however. Just switch your Revit language to English and you will be able to render artificial lights. No uninstall is needed, just follow the instructions from this link: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppo...EBD6C-htm.html
