  • Asset Browser save presets and overrides

Is there a way to save presets, like material overrides, and then apply them again?

And can you apply a global override and then change a particular material or global overrides are priority 1?

    Thanks

    Ok, I've founded the answer:

    https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...low+QuickStart
    https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...f-a-revit-file

I guess it could be a bit more intutive. The option could be by Asset Browser and let you load several presets and iterate them.

Someone knows and answer for the second question? Can a global override be override?

Currently Global Overrides are priority. If you want to do a global override while also excluding some materials, work directly in the Material Map tab. Use multiple selection to override multiple materials at once (use Shift or Ctrl to add materials to selection).
To save material presets, use the Share Settings options (link: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...-ShareSettings). Thus, you can create not only material presets, but also proxies, lighting and environment OR one entire preset including all options.

Thanks for your help! I would like the team to consider if it wasn't meaningful to let particular Material Map override global. If there is no particular reason, could you please take it to discussion?

The ability to exclude materials from the global override is meaningful. I assume this is what you asked in your first question...
And it is possible in the current V-Ray for Revit version. Basically you can:
          1. Override all opaque & transparent materials using the Global Overrides options. When Global Overrides are on, they have priority over the Material Map tab.
          2. You can choose to work directly in the Material Map tab where you can again override materials globally by selecting all of them at once. Using this method will allow you to exclude specific materials from being overridden.

If this is not what you asked for, please clarify.

          Best,
