    Hello, Paul,
Could you please share the Vision log file at %APPDATA%\Chaos Group\V-Ray for Rhinoceros\vrayvision ? It may help us discover the cause of your problem.

Additionally, please try the vrayVision command in Rhino and change the port number from 54545 to another e.g. 54546.
It might be possible that some other software uses the default Vision port 54545.

    Kind regards,
    Peter

Odd - once again (see my Vantage post below) it's the file I'm using to test that's the issue - I opened a fresh file (Rhino 6.35) and built a basic scene from scratch and it works - I will do some digging and try and figure out what's going wrong in the file that's not working post back again...
Latest Rhino 7.11.21293.9001 + Vray for Rhino 5.2 + Vantage 1.5.2 (Build: 1200713) Watching the video (link below) It looks like after clicking the "Starts a Vantage Live Session" button in Rhino the Command line briefly shows "Command options (IP=127.0.0.1c Port=20701): _-Render" then blank and the

        Thanks Peter.Chaushev,

I've reopened and tested the file that wasn't working and now it is working.

Looking at the log file (attached below) it looks like the address 127.0.0.1 was busy. A restart of Rhino must have cleared that - maybe it was conflicting with a Vantage session I'd recently closed or something?

127.0.0.1 is your local machine. It cannot be busy.
The log itself actually shows a successful scene load through live link and then disengage.
I assume it describes your successful attempt. If you happen to preproduce the initial problem again, please save the log file somewhere right away and share it with us.

Ah ok - I'll see if I can reproduce the issue.

              Hi paul-twoatsix,

A Cryptomatte render element in the scene will mess with the live connection to both Vantage and Vision.
A workaround until we fix the problem would be to remove the Cryptomatte.

                Hi,

There is a new stable build uploaded here - https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/mai...table/20211112
You can download it and test if the issue with Cryptomatte and Live Linking is resolved in all cases.

                Thank you in advance,
                Konstantin
