Vray for Rhino: GPU light cache

Hi,

I am using RTX render a view, however, it always has an error message which says GPU light cache initialization was aborted. I am using Rhino 7, Vray 5. 20.06. Thanks

Although the discussion there went in Cosmos direction, could you share here:

• graphics card type
• the recommended graphics driver version is still 512.59, what is yours now?
• are you starting a production or an interactive render?
• is it happening also when CUDA is the chosen engine?

Thank you for replying. Graphics card type: RXT 3070 Ti. The graphic driver version is 512.96. I am using interactive render, it only happens when i using interactive render. Yes, it is happening also when CUDA is the chosen engine.

This error shouldn't be harmful in any way, interactive rendering is not using GPU Light Cache at the moment. This is something that we are working on for the next version of V-Ray
Could you please confirm if you can finish your rendering when the error shows up? Or does it crash for you?

it does not finish the render when the error shows up. But it does not crash V-ray and rhino.
