    Hehe I was going to write that hdr save still didn't work, but I forgot to uncheck clamp colors! So it works great now, thanks for that!

      Material lost bug:

      Bad news: all plugin materials from yesterday are lost and I can not reassign my exported materials, because the plugin material buttons are inactiv.

      Good news: if I select an other Rhino renderer like Rhinoman and assign a material, than the buttons are enabled again. Now, in Vray mode, I can import my materials again.

        ... interesting. I have closed my Rhino and restart it again and open my critical scene file with the lost materials and ... all materials are working now. Seems to be a temporal effect. Could be difficult to catch the bug.

          Are you saying that both the "Create" and "Edit" buttons were greyed out? This generally only happens when a person switches between renderers and doesn't refresh the object properties page. VRay for Rhino by itself should never have the "Create" button greyed out.

            So you just want a simple generic multiplier without blend. I would really like to get more people's opinion on this before I go and modify how each map in all of the brdfs work. So I will post a poll about it in the general forum.

            One thing I definately need to do is change the wording from multiplier to blend and limit the range from 0 to 1. I apologize for not acting on this sooner.

                I have here a scene, it always crashes if I use angular mapping type for the BG texture. It happens with any texture I choose, HDR, jpg etc... All other mapping types work.

                You'll notice that when rendering, some buckets remain black and suddenly it renders very quickly some black buckets and then it crashes. It creates a crash dump or something, telling me that this crash dump stuff is a brazil feature.

                  RCM creates a crash dump on an unhandled exception of some kind.

                    Hi,
                    I'm haveing some problems on getting things to render. Just using the default light or a point light the scenes are dark and the objects are not even being light properly. Basic materials from V-Ray have been applied to the objects and to make sure, V-Ray was completely removed - the plugin folder deleted and reinstalled. I don't think it's something that I did, but who knows... these are newly created scenes, no V-Ray options have been changed.

                      Hi Glen, it is because build 10 incorrectly set the Bright Multiplier to 0 by default in Color Mapping rollout.

                            This seems to be fixed in 10.5.

                            Paul, I guess it is best to start a new 10.5 bugs thread.

                              I suggest for the sticky bug post, that the first post contain a buglist with numbers. This list could be updated every day. If a bug is fixed it would be marked as "fixed". If a new beta version is released, we could copy the list to the next new bug post. So every user could get an easy overview about the current bugs.

                                Can you please keep testing this angular issue. We are getting bad buckets and crashes once and a while. We are looking into the issue.

                                @Micha-

                                We are considering our options for keeping everone up to date with the bug list. For the most part we are trying to take care of this in the Readme file and the announcement posts. The problem is that when bugs are posted they should not be added to the master bug list until they are confirmed bugs. Some bugs that are reported are not bugs. Other reported bugs simply take us time to get to root of the problem and some times V-Ray is not the problem. So it's rather complicated. We are trying to simplify this. The reason for the sticky with this thread was so that we can consolidate the bug reports. This may not be the best solution either...however, we will try to build on this.
