Corey, the readme bug list is very short, I feel to short. For example I have reported that Vray dosn't use JPGs with the sufix *.jpeg. Is it fixed?
An official bug list with all bugs could be good. You could mark bugs with following marks "fixed", "in work", "no bug" or "not confirmed".
If you like, I and the other Beta testers could build a new list of current bugs inclusive the old bugs. Everybody could test the old bugs again and report if one is not fixed.
Light Portal: I'm not sure which lightcontrols should not work in portal mode, but the light color show an effect on the portal light.
Example: box with an opening, a light portal placed. GI enable, GI environment enable. Render an image. Change light color to red and use _renderwindow. Good to see here - the color of the light has changed.
Also, the Background environment show a grey seam there the image is closed.
Some increments sould be adjusted:
- increment of all map multiplier are 1, but 0.05 could be better
- increment of bright/dark multiplier is 1, but 0.05 could be better
- increment of the LC subdivs is 1, but 100 could be better
Also, some times if I start a rendering and my small RAM (750MB) makes that Vray starts very slow and I like to stop it and close the frame buffer, the whole Rhino crash complete. This problem I have seen sometimes in all of the last builds.

I am experiencing this too, although i did not notice it in the earlier builds. Right now I am not able to reproduce it. It happened to me a few times while doing stuff in another application at the same time. Rhino crashes, no warning, no bugscreen, it just vanished...
With regards to your crash, is this after you have accepted the evaluation mode?
Best regards,
Corey
Yes, the Vray has load all maps and open the renderpreview. At this point, Vray slow down and if I close the renderwindow - crash. The crash point could be after the start of LC calculation. But I'm not sure.
Corey, what do you think, when will work the texture mapping (tiling) tool? If it will be in the next days I would render some final images later.
-Micha
I was under the impression that all of RCM did indeed work, however, Rhino3 cannot show tiling correctly in the viewports. I could be wrong though. Your actual images are not showing tiling correctly, or is the viewport not showing tiling?
Tiling works, but it doesn't appear that Surface UV option works very well. I've been able to get good tiling results using "Planar" and keying in a Size for the texture. Anyone else?
McNeel's RCM mapping tools are work in progress. We hope these issues will be resolved before our final release. We have not worked specific bug reporting details with McNeel. But I assume that as we find bugs we should be posting the to the Rhino newsgroup or sending reports directly to Andy.
