    If I disable all LC prefilter, than the LC is filtered regardless. Is it a bug?

    Small bug: if IM cache is set at "automatic save", but IM is not used, disabled, than the IM cache file saved regardless (seen at the progress window). It could be a problem, if a user don't like to get overwriten cache file.

      You can allso just "edit" your material, open material-edit and then just hit apply without changing
      Rhino update your viewport...

      My workflow against the hide problem: create a small object and delete it again. So, the Rhino scene will internal updated and the hide/unhide works. I create a small plane.

        Yeah I'll have to look into that, currently if there is a vray material on a Rhino material I always use the VRay material.

        However, beta 12 (which should be out today) provides a way to override all VRay materials with a simple diffuse material with whatever color you'd like.

              hello joeb,

              already posted this (not a real bug...) since i am trying the "new" vlado method with qmc/LC

              http://www.asgvis.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=438

              i would like to be able to adjust the noise treshold under the qmc sampler settigs to something lower than 0.001 but there are no more digits left...
              Would it be a great deal to integrate this into a little patch or something?

                We've just found a problem with the default material name that I need to fix immediately. So I can work in something to hold extra digits in the QMC threshold while I'm at it

                    The question is (Just curious) ... performance-wise how much of a difference is there between 0.001 and 0.000.
                    (Will it be in the order of several hours ? minutes ? )

                      something seems odd with the materials... i had issues when changing materials layerwise, materials assigned to a different layer got changed too...

                      will try to recreate this tomorrow

                      P.S. are channels like eg shodows, reflection etc. suposed to work yet? I cannot manage to get them to render...

                        Yes I left a line out of code that ensures that materials created by hitting the "Create" button have unique names. It was a silly omission on my part. There should be a 12.1 build put up for download in the next hour or so that will resolve this silly problem, and couple other minor things. For now though as long as you make sure all your materials have unique names you will be ok.

                        I have not tested each channel, they should work, but that doesn't mean that they do. Feel free to post any problems you have with them.

                          thanks for the fast feedback and the patch!

                          I am just doing a channeltest and actually some channels seem to work but most do simple render black with white background. I will e-mail the 3dm file and the pictures.

                            Well it appears there is a problem with some of the vismat files loading with empty names. I think the metals directory is where most of them are. Just try to keep your eye on this as names of materials are very important now and must be unique within a scene unless you are working from an instanced material. Just keep this in mind when importing and using these materials. Sorry for any inconveniance
