  • Pack project doesn't work

When I go to V-Ray->Export->Pack Project, I get to enter a filename and a box that says "V-Ray is packing your scene..." for one second but no file is created.

I had the same issue, I sent the scene to Fernando if I remember corrctly.
It's related to the path of a texture for a material... the issue occurs if there is a texture with a too long path or with folders with the same name one inside the other, (example: /folder/folder/folder/texture.jpg)

Hope this will be fixed in the next release,

      Hello,

I assume you are using the latest V-Ray 3.40.03 build?
Does Grigio's advice make a difference?
Could you please double-check whether your problem occurs only with a specific project? If this occurs with any project, please perform a clean reinstall and let me know if that solves it.

If it doesn't, please contact support@chaosgroup.com and request a remote viewing session so my colleagues can get to the bottom of the issue.

      Kind regards,
      Peter

Well, it might prove to be quite difficult to track this; the file has hundreds of references, all on network drives...
I tried with a simpler file and it does work.
Would it be possible to have some feedback about what went wrong?

It is hard to tell based on insufficient info. Since you mentioned network drives, could you please try to reproduce the issue on another machine and/or with another user account?
Additionally, if you are willing to have a remote viewing session with our support team or provide a scene which produces the issue (obviously without sending the assets) we should be able to figure it out. Please send an email at support@chaosgroup.com to let us know how you would like to proceed.

          Kind regards,
          Peter
