  • Cloth Texture - Self Shadows, can they be turned off?

I'm tying to make a mesh material with largish gaps that can be seen through. I'm using the cloth texture which is great but I'm running into a problem when I try to create the opacity map:

It seems like the Color Gap parameter also drives the shadow color which means that both the gaps and the shadows end up being see through. No bueno.

How do I get around this? Is there a way to turn off self shadows on the Cloth Texture? I must be missing something obvious...

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

You can try using a Color Correction texture to create an opacity mask out of the Cloth texture from the Diffuse slot:
